Proper
regulation of criminal behaviour of individuals and other entities is an
important feature of a civilised society. This objective of regulation cannot
be achieved without law and legal principles. These law and legal principles
are both important and necessary – they define the role and powers of the
police apparatus, functions of judicial institutions etc. but most importantly,
they define what kind of behaviour and acts can be considered as crime.
The
object of this blog is to study this relation between law and criminal
behaviour of individuals and other entities. To make the study interesting, the
blog will focus on recent incidents related to crime – studying not only the end result of a criminal procedure but also the means through which such ends are achieved.
Though
efforts would be made to maintain momentum of the blog, professional
commitments and other personal obligations may, sometimes, restrict the ability
of the author to regularly update the blog.
